Alexis’s Spark of Magic Show is a 30-minute magic show where the character of your choice (fairy, mermaid, pirate, clown, top hat magician) helps your little guests discover that they have magic in themselves!
The Spark of Magic Show is most enjoyed by PreK-3rd grade (although it can be enjoyed by older kids as well)
We would describe the the Spark of Magic Kids Show as a cute, G-rated kids show for parents who want a laid-back and very sweet magic show.
It’s the right magic show for your party if:
- you primarily want to entertain children ages 3-9
- your little guests would like to meet a mermaid or fairy

Option 2: Strolling Potions Magic with Oasis
Alexis can also come for a strolling experience for large events: where she weaves through the crowd and invites guests in for an interactive one-on-one experience with her.
For her strolling magic, she comes as her original character Oasis: a mysterious white witch whose goal is to spread positivity through her potion magic.
It’s the right magic package for your party if:
- you have more than 50 guests you want to be entertained
- you want to entertain the whole family, not just small children
- you don’t have a structured step-by-step agenda for your event

What sort of magic tricks does The Spark of Magic Kids Show come with?
The Spark of Magic is named as such because it focuses is on bright colors and unexpected plot twists. From rainbow magic wands to disappearing crayons, every trick is colorful eye candy.
How do I pick the costume?
When you’re booking with our office, you’ll be given a reservation form where you can pick your costume. The Spark of Magic Kids Show is the same every time, but Alexis can come in a number of different characters depending on what you want, so there’s not much extra planning involved.
Can the Alexis entertain both boys and girls?
Absolutely! Sometimes people think that just because the magician is a woman she can only entertain girls (and vice versa), but our Spark of Magic Kids Show is captivating for all children.
I have kids above 9 coming to my party. Is that ok?
Yes! This show is able to be enjoyed by all ages, but is unique from our other magic shows in that it focuses on younger children. If you want magic specific to tween, teens, or adults, contact our office about the other magicians Alexis works with.
What do I need to set up?
Alexis needs to be either indoors or (if outdoors) under shade like a tent. She’ll need one long table for his show. For small audiences that’s all she needs, but for audiences of over 50 children, the client should plan to provide a microphone.

It depends on the event and package. When you ask our office for a quote, they’ll send you several options at different price points for your party.
What towns do you service?
Alexis serves all of CT MA and RI, and the Spark of Magic Kids Show can also be performed in VT, NH, and ME by the other trained actresses she works with. (In fact, while Alexis is the original Spark of Magic performer, she’s helped train 3 other magicians on the show because of it’s wild popularity!) If Alexis is booked the day of your party or you’re out of her geographical territory, the Kaleidoscope office can send another magician as close to your event as possible.
FAQ: Strolling Potions Magic
Is Strolling Potions Magic a show?
No. Strolling magic includes a magician wandering throughout your audience for an amount of time (1hr, 2hr, whatever you book) and doing up-close magic throughout your event. There is no stage, not plot, no set time. (If you want a show, we either the Spark of Magic Kids Show or something with one of our other magicians.)
What sort of magic tricks does Strolling Potions Magic come with?
Alexis’s original character, the good witch Oasis, is inspired by earth elements (like woods, rocks, and metals) and is a potions witch by trade. All of her tricks will be in that theme and include hands-on help from the guests at your event.
Can Oasis do the Spark of Magic Kids Show? Or can I have a pirate, fairy, clown, or mermaid to strolling magic?
No. The Spark of Magic Kids Show is themed to colorful kids characters; Strolling Potions Magic requires a specific costume that Oasis wears.

Can Strolling Potions Magic entertain adults?
Yes! Yes it can and regularly does!
When adults see Alexis in a crowd, they love to approach her and ask her questions about her costume… only to be invited into her magical world. It’s a great fantasy experience for all ages, and doesn’t require any kids at your party at all (although it is family-friendly).
What do I need to set up?
Nothing–Alexis will have everything she needs on her, and will roam throughout your event. No table, stage, or anything else is required.

How to Book a Kids Magician for a Birthday Party in CT, MA, RI, NH
Our 30min Kids Magic Show packages are extremely customizable, because Alexis is so multi-talented Here are the steps you’ll take when booking one of our a magician for a birthday party CT:
- Confirm your magic show. For a kids party, the 30min Kids Show is the way to go! (Please note, this show is the same every time.)
- Pick your character. This show can be performed by a fairy or mermaid, as well as by a clown or pirate (all done by Alexis).
- Confirm your magic show.
- Pick your add-ons. Depending on the size of your event, we’ll send you pricing to add on face painting, balloon twisting, or glitter tattoos with your magic show. (All done by Alexis if your event is small enough, or she can bring some helpers!)

An Interview with Alexis: Magician for a Birthday Party CT
How did you become a magician for a kid’s birthday?
In 2022, a friend of mine was working at Kaleidoscope and shared a job opening for a temporary tattoo artist. It sounded like a blast, so I decided to give it a try, and I quickly fell in love with the job! After a year, I saw an opportunity to pitch myself as a magician, thanks to my acting background. The master magicians at Kaleidoscope trained me, and now, after performing at over 100 events, I’ve become a full-time entertainer, specializing as a magician for birthday parties!
Who is your favorite magical character to play?
When performing in the the Kids Magic Show, my favorite character to portray is actually Lexi the Clown! Lexi’s quirky and fun personality is a hit with kids, she’s sweet and sour but never scary, so kids really love that she’s the right mix of “a safe adult” as well as pretty silly–I think she’s a great character choice when someone wants a female magician for their birthday party.
What do you do outside of your work as a magician?
Being a magician for birthday parties is my full-time gig, but outside of work, I’m passionate about singing, songwriting, and acting in local theater productions. I love channeling my creativity, whether I’m on stage performing magic or diving into my other artistic pursuits.
